My design is inspired by my collection of toques and my love for the outdoors. Living in BC for almost my entire life, I sometimes take our surroundings for granted.
Anytime I do leave BC, the first thing I notice when I return are our mountains looming over everything. You cannot look anywhere and not see the them. That is the reason behind the reflection of the mountains on the sunglasses. The toque element was included because the term 'toque' is distinctly Canadian. Here on the West Coast, we are no exception. Both a fashion accessory and a functional article of clothing, I thought it would be an appropriate symbol for a British Colombian winter.
